Rick Steve's books are great! May 12, 2007
By Lorissa Merrick Reynolds

This is my third trip to Europe. I have used Rick's books both times before. I always get the newest one and read it cover to cover, underlining the parts that are most important to my trip planning. I've packed less each trip and enjoyed it more, seeing places I would have missed if I hadn't read his books. Why not listen to the voice of so much experience?!

Bought 3rd copy Mar 31, 2007
By Diana GoToday Ideal for new visitors to Europe. We tear apart tour books and carry only pertinent pages with us. Inexpensive prices make this possible.

Totally usefull for my first trip to Europe May 17, 2007
By Martin Alberto Vega Rick gave me a lot of information...the one that you received from a friend who have travelling skills.
A made a mistake, I should have bought The Best of Europe guide, because it was my first time in Europe so I wanted to visit the highlists, I did have time for backdoors...anyway... this guide helped me a lot to prepare my trip, organize and understand which transportation media to use, etc etc.

Best traveling advices I ever got Oct 20, 2007
By R. Zerquera
"traveler"
This is the best reference book I ever encountered for the type of international travel I really love: living like a local, visiting the real places, meeting the real people and spending a lot less money than if I were "going thru the front door" . Thank you very much Rick Steves!
Sincerely, Rolando Zerquera,

A must have Sep 12, 2007

Europe is very different from being in the U.S. Rick Steves offers so much helpful advice on how to blend in and not stand out as a tourist from the USA. I found his advice particularly helpful (and alarming) when it came to tips to avoid being a victim of crime, such as pickpocking, etc. If one is traveling to Europe, you owe it to yourself and those in the countries where you are traveling, to try and communicate effectively, therefore, minimizing stress.
