 Nice pockets, but loud, stiff back Aug 31, 2006

The back of this pouch sounded like a stiff waterproof jacket fabric and made noise everytime I moved. I had to exchange it for the all silk or fabric type. The 3 individual pockets and price were nice, too bad it was loud and stiff.

The quality is poor. After one week of use, the string detatched from the bag. The flaps also didn't close securely at times. I felt it did not meet my expectation of a secure wallet around the neck for travel.

I've used this pouch many times over several years and it has held up well. I like and make use of the three separate pockets as it helps keep things organized and easy to reach. My only complaint is that if you stuff it with enough content to put some weight on it, the neck strap starts chafing against the skin on the sides of your neck after a day or two. It doesn't take all that many credit cards, auto insurance cards, players cards, membership cards, medical cards, documents, cash, etc. to add up to a quarter-pound or so. I wish the pouch came with a wider, softer, perhaps even cushioned, strap. Other than that I'm surprized how well the pouch has taken all the abuse I've given it over the past three years. Good quality product.

Both my girlfriend and I used these on a recent trip to S America. Held all of our important "stuff" - money, credit cards, passport, etc and was easy to tuck in under a shirt for extra protection if we felt we were in a seedy area.

Not what I expected, but a good value. This pouch is pretty big - no problem fitting a passport, credit cards, cash and a couple of keys or chapstick. It does have three pockets, two on the front sealed by Velcro and one on the back, also sealed by Velcro. The back pocket is padded. The flat neck strap looks like it is sewn in pretty well. My only disappointment is that it doesn't have a zippered pocket.
