 NEVER BUY AN APPLE PRODUCT!! Sep 07, 2010
I bought this for my wife when it first came out. She loved it and still loves it to this day. She uses it everyday. I liked it so much that I bought 2 more. I use both of mine everyday. When the battery goes in one, I switch to the other. I use it more for movies and one charge lasts about a movie and a half. I also use it for music. I suggest getting some good quality headphones to go with it. The ones they come with are really good, but not noise reducing. Now you can get the noise reducing ones everywhere. When snowboarding it's like I'm all alone on the mountain. I have too many songs and movies to put on the Zune at one time, so periodically I switch out some movies or music. The software is easy to use and with every update it makes the player even better. The newer Zune has a touch screen and all, but the updates to the old one keep it from feeling obsolete. NEVER BUY AN APPLE PRODUCT!! They claim to use superior parts but they are made with cheap Chinese parts. These Zunes feel so solid, and you don't have to worry about them crashing like Ipods do. My Cousin has gone though about 5 Ipods and now has the Iphone. He still envys our Zunes. The original have a 30 gig drive wich is really a lot. You can get them pretty cheap now too. Get one!!

I bought the Zune about a 1 1/2 ago. I have had non-stop issues with this thing. I had it repaired already twice. The support sucks, or even if you want to say support. There music selection to buy in their marketplace is a joke. I literally have had non-stop problems with this thing. I got it cause i did not want to sell-out to the Apple take-over of every product on the plant. But it seems I'm going to have to get an i-pod cause this thing is better used as a paperweight.
Do yourself a favor and do not buy any Zune product. You will save yourself a lot of headache and money!!!!!

I ordered this Zune as a replacement for my original that died over a year ago. The delivery was fast and the seller was nice enough to include a rubberized silicone case with a hard shell screen protector, a belt clip attached to the rubberized case, a cloth carrying case, and a sync cable with the Zune. All I had to do was reset the Zune and sign in to my Zune account and my user info was automatically transferred to the Zune. The device takes a little longer than traditional mp3 and mp4 players to sync in that it is, in literal terms, a hard drive and not a flash drive like the Ipod. Once you've calibrated the settings for the Zune software on the computer, it is essentially a plug and play device. It took a few days of tweaking the settings to get it running smoothly. As of this review, I also ordered a replacement battery as the current one cannot hold a sufficient charge longer than 3 hours. I also ordered the gear bag, AC adapter, and the mini stereo kit for my workplace so i don't have to rely on my wireless FM transmitter to hear my music. The Zune may not have all the bells and whistles of the Ipod but it excels over the Ipod in that it possesses a FM radio, a wireless sync option, and it comes with a few games preloaded.

In writing this review few words come to mind concerning the love /Hate relationship i have with microsoft Zune. Which makes me wonder are they purposely looking to get trampled on by Apple because when it comes to mp3 performance such as zune, it's a question that is left to be seen . Let's start with apperance of the device , after all some things can be judge by its cover . Its crude square shape apperance can be considered as odd to some, while it's software along with it's button's are considered an annoence to others . This is my first zune and am debating with myself will it be my last . For starters when it comes to the buttons on the devices i find myself constantly missing what am looking for on the menu screen , not to mention the fact that the devices is notoriously known to friends and family when it comes to blackouts. It would be playing and then it cut off while playing or looses the song when download while fully charged people ! software is a hassle it's like microsoft forgot the concept of idiot proof . You find yourself for hours on the computer just trying to do the simplest task ( for instance signing in to Zune social cites and market place )you might as well give them a blood test while your at it . other than that the music selection gets mix up or lost when downloaded . for example if you have a song in r&B catagory then what is it doing in hip-hop! or just plan missing. some good things about the zune though, is the sound quality is perfect along with the simple select screen on the devices and the abilty to add pictuers is a plus as well along with others cool features, thus my problem. Love/hate. Zune is like a ex you can't dump you want to, but you can't somthing just keeps you chained .microsoft really needs to get in the fight for the king of mp3 players , am a fan of microsoft but am loosing my dedication to the products they produce. Do to problems like what occured with zune two words microsoft "Wake UP " or they will not be a zune or microsoft all i can say to any one interested in buying a zune is buyer be ware !
